Urban Import was established in 2001 by fellow automotive enthusiasts to provide customers with an unrivaled selection of top quality aftermarket automotive parts. After cementing our presence as an eBay Power Seller, we launched our first online retail site carrying some of the top performance brands of the time. As the aftermarket performance industry began to boom, Urban Import focused on expanding its lineup by securing exclusive distributorship of the D2 Racing brand in North America.

2011 marked a decade of excellence for Urban Import. We had spent 10 years providing our customers with top performance products and our D2 Racing line had grown into a nationally recognized brand with a vast dealer network established across North America. After investing time and resources into product development and quality control, we were ready to expand Urban Import’s offerings and provide more great products to a wider range of customers.

By the end of 2011, we had added the TruHart and Touring Tech brands to our portfolio. By utilizing our more than decade of experience, we were able to develop high quality products and bring them to the market at affordable prices. In 2012, we opened a facility in Southern California to provide our dealer network with more inventory and faster shipping times from both coasts.

In 2013, we moved both our East Coast and West Coast locations into newer and larger facilities in an effort to better serve our customers and expand our growing product lines. This year also marked the introduction of our newest brand, Freedom Off-Road.

In an effort to support the growing performance air suspension market and compliment our air strut offerings from our D2 Racing and TruHart brand VERA Air was founded as our fifth inhouse brand.
